Pulmonary Unit

The Pulmonary Section provides quality diagnostic and therapeutic service to emergency services, out-patients, and in-patients (non-critical and critical) of all ages. The section is manned by competent and well-experienced registered respiratory therapists.  Open to serve its patients 24/7 on the 4th floor, East Wing of FUMC, the Pulmonary Unit is headed by Dr. Susan Lee, FPCP, FPCCP, FCCP.  It provides the following services:

    Diagnostic Procedures:

    • Pulse Oximetry
    • Arterial Blood Gas Analysis
    • Pulmonary Function Test/Spirometry
    • Peak Expiratory Flow Rate Determination
    • Sputum Induction for Diagnostic Procedure
    • Bronchoscopy
    • Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) Screening

    • Inhalation/Aerosol Drug Therapy
    • Ventilation Support, Invasive and Non-Invasive
    • Lung Expansion Therapy
    • Bronchial Hygiene Therapy
    • Artificial Airway Care
    • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
